2023 Toyota Corolla: The Feature-Rich Sedan for All Seasons

Under the hood, the Corolla continues to offer two engine options. The hybrid engine is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder that produces 134 horsepower. It is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). For those who want a little more power, the Corolla can also be equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. This engine is available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT and is capable of achieving up to 34 mpg combined. 

In addition to the new GR Sport trim level, the 2023 Corolla also features several new standard safety features. Every Corolla now comes with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning with steering assist, automatic high beams, and road sign recognition. 

Inside the cabin, the Corolla continues to offer a spacious and comfortable interior, with seating for up to five passengers. Standard features include a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, a six-speaker audio system, and a rearview camera.
